My office manager spies on me and my coworkers

I don’t even know where to post this so if it doesn’t belong here then I’m sorry. I’ve been trying to process it so maybe if I could get some input from managers/people in charge at a work place and try to put this into perspective for me? I don’t feel like I have any privacy at work now, and while I understand that to a certain degree I shouldn’t expect it, but I want to be able to vent to my coworkers about things that I am frustrated about in the moment (which a quick vent will fix) and not have to worry that my freaking boss is waiting around the corner to throw something in my face later. Idk, I’m just mad and wondering if I’m over reacting or if this is normal practice at other places for managers? Or is my work place just wack?
