Ive applied to over 70 positions now! Rejected from most and only got an interview for 2 positions. Both interviews went so well but they still rejected me. I don't understand why!
One of the jobs I gave an interview for needed less than a year's experience for the position as they said they will train the candidate for the role. I answered every single question perfectly, even the interviewer said he loved my answers. Cracked a joke or two that really got him laughing. The salary was pretty low, not enough to survive in a big city like Toronto and the role was such that it started off part time and grew to full time if capabilities were proved. So I don't get it, What am I doing wrong ? I have practiced interview questions over and over with an HR rep and a CEO of a decently sized company (unfortunately he is not hiring anybody due to the financial situation of the company). They love my confidence and communication skills so what the hell am I doing wrong?!
This is starting to depress me so much. I graduated last year and got a job almost immediately. I lost the job since the company shut down permanently due to COVID. I was damn good at what I did and got them so many clients. Im getting rejected from entry level roles to even part time roles offering mere minimum wage salary in my field.
