After working in psychology research for three years to get into a PhD program, I have decided not to apply. COVID-19 is destroying academia, and I know I’ll just need to get a job in industry either way. Help me figure out what jobs I’m qualified for?

Hi everyone.

I graduated with a 3.8 GPA from Boston University in 2019. As an undergraduate, I spent two years researching a clinical trial for a behavioral intervention for kids with autism. I competed an honors thesis for this work, wrote a giant report, and did a bunch of statistical analyses.

Then, after graduating I began working as a lab manager for a psychology research lab. While at this lab I was responsible for training and hiring new research assistants every quarter, working with elementary schools and museums to coordinate research, presenting data, and maintaining and updating our lab’s human subjects protocol. I also coordinated social media for my lab including Facebook, twitter, and Instagram. I ran ads and recruited participants to participate in studies via social media groups. I also conducted lots of surveys.

Ideas? Buzz words? How can I apply these skills to an industry field and get a job despite only having a bachelors degree? I have excellent grades in statistics courses but no real programming experience.
