Was offered a job, but have misdemeanor on record. Will this affect me getting the job during a background check?

After searching for a long time I got a job. I went and completed the paperwork for the job online. One of the questions was if I had a misdemeanor or felony in the past seven years. I got a misdemeanor when I was 19 and I am 27 now so I put no. Since it has been more then seven years and I thought I was clear. During the background check I found out the misdemeanor was on my record and I was charged with it 2016. I had thought I was charged with it back in 2012 which is when it happened and I was told at that time I would be getting a misdemeanor. The misdemeanor was for making loud noise playing music during a party me and my brother had when I was 19. It was a dumb thing I did and I learned my lesson and I will never do that again. Will this negatively effect my job chances?

I haven't heard anything back from the company yet. It's been a few days and I just got the email with a copy of what their background check found on me. The email was from the background check company they used and said the info found in the background check could affect my job chances. Should I call the place I got the job at and ask what is currently going on or would they notify me by phone or email if the charge disqualified me from the job?
