I am extremely conflicted right now. With the past jobs I had, even if my first day was "bleh" I'd toughen it out and end up enjoying it, but the past 30 days I feel unlucky.
The first job I had was to be a coordinator for a covid vaccine trial in my city. I quit before my first day because they were extremely disorganized and also wanted me to test volunteers for covid (the big swab up the nose) which made me extremely uncomfortable since I am not a nurse.
Today was my first day at my second job, and the lady training me was hacking hard without her mask on... And I swear you not, she gets a phone call and I overhear her doctor talking about her appointment tomorrow to get tested for covid!! On top of that, I thought it was an "accounting" job, but it's basically a glorified call center. Taking calls and angry customers yelling... yea, no.
I really want to quit, but feel like I am just handicapping myself now... Is that an awful idea? Could that somehow ruin my chances in the future?
