I work in sales on commission. I have no hourly rate - they cover my health insurance. Everything I make is in commission.
I have had a few really good months lately but I had a very good one last month....the best I have ever had. I have really good months and I have slow months - its the carrot and stick of how I make money.
My boss signs all of the timesheets and so he knows when I have good and bad months.
After seeing my time sheet last Wednesday I just notice my boss has gotten way more aggressive with me. He makes rude jokes about how much I make. When he calls me with some minor questions or corrections, I answer and say "how are you" and he always does a fake perky "I am mad at you because.....".
He got into a squabble with the head of our company the other day as well and kept mentioning his pay. He was very rude to her as well and really made things awkward for a few days by pissing her off.
I am sure it sucks to work more hours and make less than someone who only has to do sales, but I have no idea how much he is making, I did not set up the system, and I need to put food on the table.
I set up a meeting to talk to see if I was doing anything to upset him but I feel helpless. I do not know what else to say to him but I just want to make our interactions more pleasant.
