There was a position open at a company that I really liked and I applied a few weeks ago. As a matter of fact, this was the second time applying for this position.
After the second round of interviews, I got a phone call from HR and they basically told me that I was a close second.
The last few hours have been an emotional roller coaster ride. I've felt anger, rage, sadness, hope, but the one emotion that stands out is self-doubt. It stings especially considering that I've been rejected twice.
