So, I'm not gonna give a ton of details for privacy but I hope you guys understand.
This summer I was laid off due to COVID with the implication that we'd be back to work as soon as things picked up and company started making money again. However, I just landed a new 100% remote job with better benefits. It's also a more recession proof industry and at my old job we don't know when we will come back full time and I have bills to pay.
I had a great relationship with my boss and everyone at the office. I don't want to sever those ties or burn any bridges. There's a possibility my boss will start bringing back the team very soon. I want to give them a heads up so they find a replacement or at least reorganize. I don't start the job until September. I know I am not obligated to say anything at all since I'm not technically not employed there anymore, but I felt we got along well and would want to do this as a courtesy.
