Social Sciences Major means... not a whole lot.

I just graduated with a BS in social sciences in May. I had coursework in psychology, sociology, and anthropology, as well as sex and gender studies. I’m also a licensed cosmetologist in two states with 11 years experience. I ran my own business for the past 10 years. I can’t find a job offering more than 25k and I’m flabbergasted. I keep being put off by experience requirements or, should I say, preferences. I guess this is a rant more than anything.

Obviously this is in part due to the desired location but, good grief.

I was offered a salon management position making minimum wage - none of this makes any sense to me.
