I'll keep the backstory brief. Worked a few summer jobs doing data entry and office work in college, graduated with a useless degree in media, came home to finish my degree, worked for almost a year as a receptionist at a local recovery program, left the job due to poor management, planned to resume work at the beginning of this year, then a global pandemic happened and I can't find anything at all.
At this point, there's no work where I'm living at for the degree I got. I have maybe a year and a half or cumulative experience in office roles, but none of the office jobs I've applied to have ever gotten back to me. The ones that did get back to me just told me I wasn't being considered at this time. I've tried entry level positions with the government, medical facilities, libraries, art museums, an office that works adjacent to my old workplace, and I've had no luck. I've retooled my resume to focus on my work experience and skills so many times in order to meet hiring specifications, but still nothing.
I'm coming up to a year of unemployment and I'm losing my mind. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
