26 looking for a job out of college

As the title says, im looking for a job out of university. I've worked in school as a research assistant for some professors, but now my parents are on me about getting a legit job. (Totally understandable)

I applied for some jobs on indeed. Mostly receptionist gigs. And there's always retail, but honestly I've heard too many horror stories, and they put me off of applying.

Any advice?
