Earlier this month I landed a job at a restaurant as a Hostess and was initially excited to get back to work (after losing my previous job due to COVID). After a few training shifts and an orientation, I have realized this job is not at all for me, I am not comfortable with the work environment, nor am I physically capable of being on my feet for as long as they expect me to (due to a physical disability). I was told I could receive accomodation when I was at the orientation and have not received it, nor have they specifically told me what they could do to aid me. All in all, I am grateful I was able to land a job, especially during these tough times, but I would feel more comfortable with a different job and environment.
How would I go about quitting? Is it okay to send an resignation email to limit people coming in & out of the restaurant? Is it okay to ask them to take me off the schedule for my last 2 weeks?
I appreciate any and all advice.
