Alright so my friend is applying for some state job and it asks whether or not he's a former state employee. Well, he had interned for his judicial branch while he was in college (an unpaid situation) but he doesn't know if that counts as being a former state employee or if interns are classified as something different. I think he can consider himself a former state employee (it might help on the app!)
But he's afraid that it'll make him look bad if he says yes but they consider interns different than normal employees.
So, reddit, does anyone know the actual answer? We couldn't find much online
