I had my last interview a little over a month ago for a company I am really excited about working at. I had an initial phone screen with HR and two virtual interviews with the hiring manager. I completed a project for the company and received very positive feedback. A week after my final interview, I emailed HR asking about the status or a timeline. They said the "process was moving forward with extremely positive results and hope to have an update for you by next week." I didn't receive anything the following week so followed up again. HR then said "(Hiring Manager) is very excited about your background and is waiting approvals to move to the final step. I hope to have an update shortly." That was over a week ago. Any idea about what's going on? I don't want to seem pushy by following up all the time but I'm surprised I haven't received a decision yet. The job positing has also been deleted from the company website which is interesting. Thoughts?
