A few months ago I interviewed for a position and while I thought it went well, I was not chosen (checking LinkedIn it appears they chose someone with more experience in that field than me).
Recently I had the hiring manager with whom I interviewed with reach out to me, asking if I would be interested in the same position. I told him yes, and he forwarded my resume to HR. I had an HR screening call and it seemed very rushed (e.g. I was trying to go through my resume and the HR person would say "that's great" sort of cutting me off and trying to get to the next point). They basically told me to expect an interview sometime in the future. About a month has gone by, and I have not heard back. I would love to attain this position, and I'm afraid I may no longer be considered.
I'm thinking about reaching out (I understand things could have been delayed/changed due to covid-19), but I'm unsure if I should contact the HR person who interviewed me on the phone (they're based outside the office I would be working in) or contact the hiring manager directly. Any suggestions?
