Is it worth looking for a job 4 months into this pandemic?

Hey all! In the start of this year, I began to read through so many Reddit posts and took notes on all of the wonderful advice that was given on this site. Then March came along and the world was taken over by Covid-19. I was furloughed and currently on unemployment at the moment. I am only 28 years old and want to go back to work. I applied to many different jobs on Indeed, Glassdoor, Linkedin, etc and I am having no luck (I have about 4 years working in Special Education with a worthless Sociology degree but I'm interested in changing careers). I try being hopeful but I sometimes feel silly for even trying knowing so many people are sending out applications right now. Is it worth trying to find a job right now knowing that there are so many Americans out of work? Btw, I live on the West Coast. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
