Cant Find Work With Engineering Degree

I am a recent Canadian Mechanical Engineering Graduate and I have been unsuccessfully looking for work for 5 months. I've applied to hundreds of jobs and have only received 1 interview. I have no internship or relevant experience--yes, this is entirely my fault, but what now? I've tried everything: career centers, networking, applying to isolated areas, and applying for roles that dont require engineering degrees. I'm starting to lose hope and feelings of worth. For someone to win, someone has to lose...and I'm beginning to feel like my destiny is that of the latter. Is there ANYTHING I can do but just keep praying something works out? I'm totally open and would appreciate any advice.
