Title says it all. I am 30, female, and have been in primarily either administrative, customer service, or retail roles all of my life. Grew up in the US (citizen) but now live in Canada (permanent resident) if it matters. I earned an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design in the US that I haven't used as I found out I really don't like the field like I thought I would.
I've gotten to the point in my life where I really can't take measly jobs serving the public anymore, and am looking for a change. Essentially, I am wanting to find a job that I can make at least $20 - $25 an hour on after earning just a certificate or associate's degree as I am wanting to make the change as quickly as possible. (I would like to make more money down the line, but if I can at least start off with this I would be happy.)
I am introverted so I do not wish to work with the public - I'm okay working with coworkers but the more solitary the job the better. I love working with computers, consider myself analytical, and also like working with data and research. Essentially, I like working with information more than I like working with people. It goes without saying, I'm also hoping the job would be somewhat in demend as well.
So far, the only careers I've thought of so far are:
Medical coder
Programmer
Network Analyst
