Tl;Dr: Should I walk into a store and ask if they are hiring? I personally think its weird these days because of online applications and all of the virus stuff going on. I need to because their site never works and I currently have no phone.
So I WAS in the US Military, well basic training atleast, during all of this and was unfortunantly dropped because I had a seizure and they didnt have anywhere to put me because they stopped forming companies. This sucks but there isnt any point in crying about it. Its time to look for parttime work while I go back to school.
So anyways there has been this car shop (they sell parts, not like the place you go to get your car fixed) and i've been wanting a job there since I finished high school because its right down the road and they can get you certified for things. Anyways their company site never works, like ever for applications. I got an email from their "talent agency" saying they like my profile for some reason but there wasnt any numbers to setup a call with the recruitment person, so i went to the small subreddit dedicated to this company and the nice folk over there said I should just call the manager of the store I want to work at.
Heres the problem, I dropped my phone in water a few days ago so now I can only do things by email and person and with all this virus stuff I dont think it would be welcome if I just walk into the store and ask if they were hiring, in fact I dont even know if they are hiring considering all of the unemployment (although I do have suspicions that the job market isnt as bad as the media is making it out to be right now). I think even without the virus stuff, walking in and asking if they are hiring is considered a thing of the past these days because everyone is doing things online or at the very least over the phone.
