Can I work in any construction type jobs if I'm still in highschool and have no experience?

I got fired from being a cart pusher at Walmart for a totally lame excuse and I'm happy about it because they treated me like trash at that place. I'm interested in working construction related jobs but have no experience in that. My Dad use to run heavy equipment and was a manager in roadwork and stuff like that and I'm taking in interest in it but I can't seem to find anything. I'm 18 if that makes a difference and I live in Alaska. Kinda outside the city of Anchorage
