Recently, for more personal reasons, i’ve been fed up with things at home and i’ve been looking more into jobs as an opportunity for experience and a way to be able to better rely on myself, when it doesn’t feel like the people I rely on are working very hard to change anything around the house or really just for my wellbeing. i’ve spent enough time frustrated about it that i’m ready to do whatever it takes to become more self reliant and just fix these issues myself. While I plan on finding some type of work in places like coffee shops or restaurants in the next two years, I feel like now is a good time to start forming some kind of experience going into what would normally be a first job. I know that many places are hiring for temporary jobs during this pandemic like stocking shelves and such, but i’m not sure how young any of these places would hire. I’m currently only 14, and soon there will be many more jobs available for me since i’ll be 15 and have the choice to look for summer jobs. I was just hoping to be able to go into the process of searching with some form of experience which could give me a better idea of what kind of job best suits me, along with a higher chance of being hired. If anyone has any helpful answers, please feel free to share them because even an answer like “no, you are simply too young” will clear up a lot for me. thank you for taking the time to read this :)
