Can I still apply for the PUA program, even though I got hired( got hired today)?

Can I still apply for the PUA program, in the state of Cali even though I got hired? I want to quit because the math just doesn't work out, I get paid 14/hour and work 25 hours. It also in LA so I am spending a lot of money on gas and mileage. 14 times 25 is 450. But for the benefits, it is $767 a week for 39 weeks.
