What's the maximum expected amount of time that you can use a reference between contacting them for permission and the interview?
I'm asking because I asked some people if I could use them as a reference back in September, got hired somewhere late December, was let go 2 months later and now I'm looking again. I'm stressed because thinking of asking them again for permission feels like it's telling them "oh she was let go somewhere so she's asking again??? Wow she sucks"
