I've been undergoing the interview process at a local company since early this month. I've gone through several rounds of interviews, but because of COVID-19, things have paused. I last spoke with the in-house recruiter last week and he told me that the hiring manager wanted me to move to the next step in the process which is a final round. I was told the office is closed and he said he will notify me again when he has a better picture.
Earlier today, a headhunter messaged me on linkedin asking me if I was interested in a position. Lo and behold it's the same job I've been interviewing for. He gave me a link to the job posting from his firm and it was posted a few days ago.
Can anyone explain what exactly is going on? I feel like this means I am not really being taken seriously. But at the same time they want me to go into the next round which I've been told is extremely difficult to get to?
