Hi Reddit
This morning I had a phone interview for my ideal job. Based on the job description and my experience I know I can do well in this role. However, in my initial phone interview this morning, I got completely flustered - rambling and speaking too fast and couldn't get my bearing to get it together. I feel like I probably bombed it. Before even thinking to address it in my post - call email, I had already sent this:
Hi (Talent Acquisition),
Thank you for your time this morning to discuss the (Position in Location). Based on our conversation, I believe my experience in the field - specifically building and managing a high volume territory (in Location) would help me succeed in this role. Based on (Company)'s mission, positive and collaborative culture I believe this could be a great fit for both of us. I am excited to have the opportunity to be considered to help people (doing the job).
Again, thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the next steps in the process.
Best regards,

I have taken a few months out of the workforce to recover from a traumatic leg injury, and now that I am rehabbed and ready to go I am eager to get back to work. I bombed the phone interview but I am wondering if there is anything I can do at this point to recover and detail what value I can bring to the company without sounding desperate or needy.
Is two e-mails after the initial phone interview too much?
Thanks reddit!
