I'm in need of some advice, I want to start working this year but I'm worried about the length of time I would be able to stay in that job. My situation is a bit complicated (not really). I'm technically an international student, but I own a passport and am a citizen in the country I'm currently studying in (dual nationality). The problem is that I often go back home during the breaks, and this is something I'm not willing to sacrifice if I were to get a job. BTW, home for me is a 12 hour flight away from where I study. I stay for roughly 3-6 months in the country I study in before returning back home for a month or however long the break is.
I've never gotten an "actual" job, as in I've been paid before and I've done various things but nothing that's felt very strict, permanent and long-term so I'm a bit afraid of the commitment expected as most jobs don't discuss those things on applications. Sorry if I sound ignorant, I would just like some advice or how other people have approached applying for jobs if you've been in a similar situation as me.
