I applied through a staffing agency for a direct hire role. On Wednesday, the recruiter called after 3 saying the company wanted to schedule an interview with me. I called the recruiter back around 4:30 and said I can do an interview Friday or next week late afternoon, but I need to know by Thursday morning so that I can make arrangements with my current employer.
The recruiter wasn’t in touch all day today and I emailed asking her around lunch when would the interview would be. She said they didn’t solidify the time yet. I replied that it would be more suitable next week. The recruiter hasn’t replied since then. Should I reach back out to the recruiter tomorrow or just let it go? I don’t want to seem desperate. I feel like it was a bit unprofessional that I had to give my current employer less than 24 hour notice.
