LPT: Keep an accomplishments spreadsheet.

When it comes to asking for raises, no one is your biggest cheerleader than yourself. However, you can't just go into a salary discussion unarmed, and say "I work really hard! I take soooo many projects! I help out the rest of the team!" without backing it up.

A simple excel shreadsheet, where you can actually track where you helped out a team member, all of those awesome projects you took on, those times you went above and beyond the scope of your duties will really come in handy.

I keep mine very simple with a column for the following: Date, Who I helped, What I did, Where (I'll paste a link in slack if I helped someone there), Additional info
