How long to hold hope

I applied for a job that would change my life. It's been little over two business days and I haven't heard about an interview. Is this normal for "good" jobs? How long of a wait is standard? Since I left the military it's been crP jobs ad nauseum. You get those pretty quick. So, just curious what the standard wait time is. Thanks.
