Hey /r/jobs, I just got my first job out of college earning 58000/year, and we started on January 6th this year, but I don't understand my paycheck.
We are paid biweekly and I received $1784 gross for the period of January 1st - January 15th, which will be deposited on my account tomorrow (January 15th). I received this info through the ADP app that my company is enrolled in. How is this being calculated? Assuming a $223/day, are they calculating the period of January 6th-January 11th, and January 13th - January 15th? This would total $1784, but they'd be giving me money for a day I haven't even gone to work yet!
Is this correct, or am I tripping somewhere?
Thanks a lot!
