Things to look for in my first non entry level job?

I couldn’t think of a better title so that’s what I’m going with.

So the job I’m in currently is the first job I got after college that was actually what I wanted to do. But, it’s entry level, the pay is terrible, etc. I’m essentially roughing it right now. I took it to get the experience though, so it’s fine.

But now I want to find a job somewhere that’s more established. That I will stay in for a few years and can help me live a more comfortable life and that I actually enjoy. So I’ve been applying to a few places, but I’m trying to take a more calculated approach.

What things should I do or what should I look for this time around?
