Not sure if I should take the job or not. Seems sketchy.

Hi. I recently applied for a job on Indeed. The Job was for an Associate Position at Dermalogica in the city of Carson. Dermalogica is a beauty company but by the way they wrote their post it sort of seems like they're working with other things. I want to know if you think it's a scam or the real deal?

Here's a summary of what happened. I applied to the job and that night got an email. In the email she didnt even ask for an interview she just told me what shifts they have and which one did I want and what the pay frequency was (which was slightly differenr than what Indeed said) She told me to reply to the personal email (which I can only assume because she doesn't like Indeeds message system) Okay so whatever. Well the hours look really good and She said I could work full time or any 5 hours (I assume because it says I'm a student on my resume)..

Now the confusing part is...the same Job Posting was immediately deleted. But I can still access the messages. I did a search for similar jobs and there definitely are similar ones. One of them was in the same city but under a different titled position offer. And other posts that are from the same company say nothing about Selling for other companies but their own.

As you can see the job summaries are very different and the second link makes no mention of Direct Tv or Car Accessories.

What do you think? I can also post an email I got from the lady.

Perhaps I understood the job posting wrong?

I simply don't want to end up working for a company that has me selling "their " products when clearly it's just one of those MLM or Pyramid Marketing Schemes.

I've tried googling her email but nothing comes up, perhaps I'll see if she's on LinkedIn.
