Got an offer at the bottom of a salary range originally quoted. This is disappointing but not entirely surprising. The only thing is other compensation originally taken for granted by the recruiter is now being taken away due to some "misunderstanding" with finance.... Total difference is a quarter of stock options and $15000 in yearly compensation via a bonus.
It's been played off apologetically and that it was unexpected on their side. Hard to say if this is sincere, or if just being low balled.
