This week we had mock interviews at school. Currently, I'm a Sophmore (15M), and while I did exceptional on the interview (I had my own resume that I designed and formatted myself, they gave me compliments on both etiquette, posture, eye-contact, etc) I turned down the job offer thinking I wasn't prepared to balance a job and school simultaneously.
For those wondering, I originally wanted to work at Gamestop but I'm not old enough to, so I'm settling for Publix because it is near me and my older sister is also working and who wouldn't want to work with their sibling? What I'm thinking is it'll teach me how to juggle both work and school which is important when I'm away at college.
I have everything prepared. Certifications, awards, my resume, etc. The only problem I have is, should I be so eager in finding employment so early?
