Background: I was recently discharged from the military (honorably) and began my job search in August before I got out. However here we are at the end of October and I have had 1 interview that led to job offer that was for a different job completely than the company brought me in for.
So my question for all of you: How do you deal with this? This black hole is dragging me down day by day as nobody calls back or I get more and more emails rejecting me for being over qualified, under qualified, lacking a degree, or being too intangible. I have built up, dumbed down, and other wise targeted my resume for over 800 jobs as of today. I guess I may have needed to vent a little but damn it, I was always told that 13 years of Military experience would actually amount to something in the civilian world.
