I have a job interview tomorrow for a position in the office where I currently work. My job now is blue collar logistics and the promotion would be white collar logistics (instructor/inspector). However, I haven't done an in-person interview in many years. I no longer have any "office" clothes and because I'm a very tall woman and local stores don't carry tall sizes, I couldn't find any pants long enough. There wasn't enough notice to order something online. My only option for pants are some very dark wash jeans I already have. I wear jeans and t-shirts for my job now and the manager has seen me but I would like to make a good impression and be more professional. All else being equal, will it look bad on me if the men show up in suit and tie and I'm in business casual? A dress was another option, but isn't appropriate for the setting. The suits wouldn't be either but external candidates probably won't realize that.
TL;DR: I (f/38) have a job interview tomorrow and was unable to find fully appropriate business attire to wear to the interview. Would a nice blouse/sweater with very dark jeans and dress shoes work?
