I love whenever I work so hard, I always get a dry 'thank you. See you tomorrow' as if I'm not sweating a pool on my face. But when I say I don't want to do a certain thing, I get trash talked and forced to go home. And I won't go home.
Basically, I work for FedEX. I have a manager that takes advantage of me because I work above and beyond what I'm supposed to. Which is my fault. At least I care that I want my job. Anywho, yesterday, I was burnt out because I was doing a double shift. I was physically and mentally tired.
I was moving the ICs to the front so I can get them all in before the smalls and the manager just HAD to come to me and start some bullsh!t about me moving them. And to just put them in the truck without scanning them. I refused. He wanted me to go home for giving him a attitude even though he started messing with me first. I refused. He got the sort manager and I was moved to another belt. Oh and to add on, this manager has done this to alot of employees before me. Running them away from this job.
Fast forward to today. I went to the other belt because I will not work for that manager anymore. He realizes that I didn't go to my previous belt. And started trash talking me. Saying he's glad that I'm not there and the sort managers laughing with them. So all that hard work I did, sweating my butt off, almost passed out/threw up multiple times, had big chewy boxes slam up on my feet and brusing my toes and ankles, didn't even provide me with no help, was all for nothing? Because I refused for the first time after being there for 1 month, I get treated like fresh dog poo.
To all the managers out there, no matter what you do, treat your employees with respect. This is not a one way street. Just because you are above us, doesn't mean we deserve to be treated unfair. Stop pressuring them to do a job that required about 2-3 people. Then talk mess about how this employee isn't worth sh!t because they're slowing down. While you're just walking around with a radio and not helping. And you wonder why no one wamts to work for you or even likes you.
