A few background bullet points. I'm 21, male, live in Utah USA, and at 18 I had to have my entire large intestine surgically removed due to unwavering ulcerative colitis of the worst magnitude.
2 years ago I worked at Alorica for 6 months, it was technically my second job but my first serious business type of job. My lack of colon sends me to the bathroom 3-8 times per day, and I'm always in pain. I tried, and I am not eligible for any type of disability or unemployment whatsoever, from what I understood while talking to the social security people.
I was fired because the management decided not to change my work schedule as we had agreed on a month before, and working that schedule had become a painful problem and I was unable to show up to work several days per week.
Currently, I own a relatively cheap car I bought myself with money that was supposed to go to college, but it's having problems. I need a car to get a job, I need a job to get a car, etc.
Financially speaking, I've had to wholly rely on my mom for medical and phone bills, and on my girlfriend for groceries for these last few years.
I'm disgusted with myself that I don't have a properly working car, any income whatsoever, and that I have to rely on everyone else for literally everything in my life.
I want to get a job, make money, become self sufficient and not have to ask anyone for anything ever again, but I don't know how to do it. The car should hopefully be fixed soon if I'm lucky, but all I have is a highschool degree, I couldn't go to college, I don't have experience in anything, I have no savings, and I can't do physical labour or stand for more than an hour at a time due to my illness, all while the government won't due anything to help me.
What do I do? Where do I start? How do I do it? I'm at my wit's end and don't know what I can do. Any kind of help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated, thank you so much in advance.
