Freaking out over background check

I have accepted a leadership position in the marketing department at an professional services company, and the offer is contingent on passing a background check. I’m completely freaked out about whether my past infractions will come back to haunt me. I was ticketed 10 years ago for my car registration being out of date, and then I moved out of state and didn’t pay the fine until 5 years ago (after a warrant had been issued); and about 9 years ago I was ticketed for marijuana possession (was caught hitting a joint at a concert), but did deferred adjudication so it should in theory be off my record (also, pot is now legal in my state so...). It was just stupid irresponsibility and being naive about consequences in my 20s. I’m incredibly upstanding these days, a mom of two, excellent career history and references, perfect credit. Should I be worried? I’m holding off on giving notice at my current job until the background check is cleared, but would really like to be able to give two weeks. It would also be so humiliating to have the offer rescinded over this. Am I freaking out over nothing or am I right to be nervous?
