I currently have a job, but planning to move to another one eventualy, so I apply for an opportunity here and there. Today a recruiter called me about one of these opportunities and arranged a face-to-face interview.
Then the recruiter sent me an e-mail with the details of the interview and a form I should fill and send back. Problem is the form is requiring me to include my current boss as a reference.
Seriously, why on earth would they ask for my current boss as a reference? I'm definitely not giving them the information as I don't want to risk my job, but already made me very unconfortable with the process.
I will be honest, I don't really trust recruiters as they don't seem to care about the candidates as long as they can achieve their goals. Is there any chance they will call my current job looking for more information about me?
