Boss fired me, is now reaching out trying to get me to come back, what should I do?

I'll try to keep this relatively short. I am a 29 yo guy with a Bachelors in HR Management, a real estate license, 3 rental properties that I manage and a wife who makes 110k.

I had a job at a trucking company as a recruiter- when I got hired, I killed it. Our quota was to bring in 2 drivers per week, I was easily bringing in 5-7 every week. We had a team of 9 recruiters, and after 6 months I was promoted to recruitment manager. My starting salary as a recruiter was 30k, this job bumped me up to 40 (we also got $350 per driver who stayed on the road for at least 45 days, about half the drivers we brought in). My role as manager was to make sure the other recruiters were hitting their metrics, while also bringing in drivers myself.

A little about the company culture- this was a start up, so people were getting hired and fired constantly. Things also changed at a minutes notice. Most of my coworkers were great, but the boss, lets call him Bob, was interesting. He is very charismatic when he wants you to do something, and nice to be around when hes drunk. He was very verbally abusive to the recruiters, and especially me. He would yell at me constantly for not meeting recruitment quotas that were 100% unobtainable- even on the weeks where we would somehow reach them, we would get yelled at (well why the f*** can't you do this every other week ). He acts very similarly to the other departments. He also does not listen to his employees when they offer advice to help the company grow, and because of that, for the last 6 months of my employment, the company went from about 100 trucks to 50, and are currently around 40 (still have friends in the company I talk to). There is also a strong drinking culture in the company- Bob will throw parties about once a week and have bottles of wine and patron for everyone. If you weren't a heavy drinker, it was hard to get in the "in" crowd of the company if you did not drink a lot, and go out drinking when everyone else did.

I got demoted about 6 months after my promotion, for literally no reason. I was still producing as much as the other recruiters, even as manager, and I know some of you will get on my case about this, but it really wasn't my fault that the department wasn't up to par- the boss stopped paying for leads about a month after I was promoted, and the paid leads had been where we got like 90% of our drivers from. Bob would not let us advertise on any medium he didn't approve of either. The company also only paid recruiters 15 an hour, so it was impossible to hire on top talent.

After the demotion, I will admit that I stopped really caring about the job, and let my numbers slip- to average levels. I was producing as much as every other recruiter, and still got fired after about a month.

A couple weeks after getting fired , I got a call from my boss- he apologized for firing me, said that he was just frustrated that I wasn't producing as much as I used to etc and said that it was a mistake and that he wanted me to come back, to a different department. This department pays 45k starting, and has quarterly bonuses.

I don't know whether I should go back or not. I already have another job as a manager at another company that only pays 35k, but is way more flexible (I choose what days and hours I work every week). The new company is not going anywhere, although it is definitely more boring than my last job. I honestly couldn't tell you if the trucking company will be around next year. I also really like all my coworkers at the old job, although am definitely not a huge fan of the boss.
