Okay. So. My uncle owns a company in Knoxville and when I went to visit them he asked me where I saw myself in 5 years. So I’m 19 I’ve been on my own since I was 16 and I’ve worked full time ever since and I graduated a few years early. Well when he asked me that I told him I wasn’t really sure. I now live with my granny and I live in an extremely small town and there’s not much work or really many places to rent and I don’t want to buy a house nor do I think I could right now. So he sorta told me that he was looking to expand his company and needs someone in the office and he’d start me at a salary of $57,200 a year. Well this was about two weeks ago and I’ve been home since and I just can’t stop thinking about it. Ive looked at apartments in Knoxville and I added it up and I could put at least $1500 ,if not more, in my savings a month with my expenses. And I get excited just thinking about it. Like this could be my opportunity. I turn 20 in 3 months and I really want to be on my own. And I could afford to live on my own. I don’t really have any obligations where I am now except a part time job and my dog (which I’ll be taking her with me). I could finally get on my feet and be more independent.
So where my issue is. I have a lot of anxiety. Like.. a lot. And it’s my own family. But I want to message him about it but I have absolutely no clue where to start. I should’ve just told him yes when he was talking about it but I started thinking about it so much I didn’t even respond. Someone please help me.
I’ve always had anxiety and I’m bipolar but I take medication for it but I feel like because I’m not getting anywhere in life right now it’s causing me to be depressed. Plus I don’t have any friends here since I moved away from my hometown. Like I feel extremely alone and I feel like this would help me tremendously.
So how do I start. Like how do I get the conversation started.
