I recently started this job at a big company. When I got this job offer I had another pretty good job offer at a company I worked previously but declined it because the salary and benefits were slightly better here. I was hesitant because the online reviews at my current company were pretty bad. people would complain about no life and work balance and being overworked. After reading the reviews I talked to a couple people who work here and they said it was great and reviews were not true. well, one month working and I can confirm the reviews were true. I'm technically still in "training" but I'm getting assigned the same as people that have been working there for 6 months or more. training has been terrible, no structure whatsoever in the training, my team lead is not much help as he doesn't really take the time to answer my questions or work on training me. there are hard dates in the assignments and if we don't turn them on the due date it counts against our metrics which could lead to termination. I am used to have considerate amounts of work in my previous company but this is different level, we are discouraged to work overtime but there are so many hours during the day to complete all the assignments on time that sometimes is not enough.
some people on my group were talking the other day about starting to look for opportunities elsewhere and I overheard about how the employee turnout is so bad at this company.
at this point, I'm considering applying to the company that I declined the offer for, they have actively hiring and I know the company as I previously worked there. I just don't know how to handle the situation as I declined their offer and I have only been at this job for a month. Any leads on how to handle this?
