Dealership application asks job candidates to come in person and ask for 2 different people, to receive the “Next step”. I arrive, and I’m told “appointments only!”

Fuming about this, since it was such a waste of time. The initial application did not ask for a resume, which was very strange. Still, it was a finance position and I felt confident I could earn it.

I showed up, full suit, resumes in hand and questions prepared. Asked for either person, as instructions said. Receptionist said grim faced “Sorry, appointments only!” No apology, reason or explanation. I left my info, resume. Never received a call. Never spoke to the people I was instructed to ask for.

Because of this colossal waste of time, and probably a waste for others too, I left a scathing review under a fake google account. I happened to be in the market for a new car, and this company was one I was interested in. I said in the review that it was very demeaning and disrespectful to waste peoples time like that, and said I would not be leasing my new car from them.

Looking forward to the response. I’m sure it’ll be great.
