I don't plan on leaving my job anytime soon but in the unlikely event of,I've been keeping my eyes open for employment opportunities that are relevant to my current position and it's kinda tough finding options. Especially with a HS diploma and no degree.
I'm currently a field sensor operator for a relatively large aerial survey company. I operate camera systems(some equipped with LiDar) while sitting in a small plane for hours a day throughout the US. Other responsibilities are small team management,field training,data logistics,post QC,photo corrections and camera systems maintenance (including software updates,troubleshooting and systems removal). I also have what I consider a small amount knowledge in geospatial data analytics. With the job, I've also learned a decent bit about general aviation as well.
Prior to this job,I basically ran a small warehouse that imported car parts from overseas for a Canadian company. That included sales, customer service, inventory, accounting, domestic and international logistics as well as employee management. To water it down,I ran the business while the owners were in Canada(4 out of the 5 years when I was with them). I've also had a few years in motorcycle exhaust production.
I feel like my current field would be a better lead to follow than past ventures but it's been proving rather difficult as to where I could go from here. Any input would be incredibly appreciated.
