Looking for Alternatives to Teaching

Hello everyone. I am a third year, very part-time public school teacher and for a while now I’ve been considering finding a backup career in case teaching doesn’t work out. I actually love teaching so far, but I can’t find a full-time or even half-time teaching job for the life of me. I currently work three jobs, and there is only so much teaching, substituting, and tutoring (usually all in the same day) that I can take.

The problem is, while I believe I am capable, I have known nothing else besides teaching. I live and breath education. I’m wondering if some of you could give me advice on other job possibilities, since I frankly just don’t know what else is out there.

My skills/interests: - Though introverted, enjoys people and is above average in communication - Trained/talented fine artist, and has some design experience - Trained/talented creative writer, and possibly an effective technical writer - Picks up other skills/ideas quickly - Studies/researches often (mostly history + science, but could be anything) - Manages and works through stressful situations well - Enjoys outdoors, plants, and animals - Probably above average hand-eye coordination and strategic thinking

What I’m not looking for: - Other obvious jobs related to small children. I love teaching but I’m not looking to be a camp counselor or preschool teacher, for example.

I realize most of these things are generic, and I would need to do a lot of work to stand out as a candidate for any particular field. But again, I am mainly looking for ideas. The more specific the better, and anecdotes are always appreciated.

Thank you!
