Considering leaving a part-time position after 2 months for a full-time one in another branch. Is this a crappy move?

I currently work as a part-time assistant at a library. I enjoy it, but the desire for advancement is getting stronger and stronger, especially since I have a bachelor’s degree and, well, want it to count for something. I’m also in the process of applying for an MLIS in hopes of being a librarian. This would undoubtably be a step forward.

I looked on my county’s employment site and saw that a full-time position opened at a nearby branch. I’m very tempted to apply but I’m hesitating due to the fact that 1.) It’s only been 2 months (to this literal date) and 2.) there’s already a high turnover rate for my position. I would hate to add to that. :/

Do you think I should I stay longer out of respect or give priority to my career goals?
