Am I unreasonable to be angry at this temporary job? I feel like they are being unprofessional. I want to quit, but unsure if I'm overreacting.
This is a little long. My apologies.
This is a temporary job. Only for just under a month of work. I've only worked 2 days there and I am on the verge of walking out without notice due to seemingly unprofessional practices. The only thing keeping me from this is that I am unemployed and under pressure from family (financially I'm fine), I have savings. The hiring manager was very nice and I would feel bad to put pressure on him. I have a well paying job lined up on September 16th.
This is at a grocery store btw.

When I got hired I told them I was looking for a temporary job and asked if they wanted anyone temporary. He just said to come in for an interview. He could have explained the job over the phone and let me think about it.
-
During the interview I was told what the job was briefly. It was very unclear, and I given like a second to decide. So I just said sure.
-
He told me he would email me the job details. He never sent the email. Turns out it's helping with store renovations.
-
He asked me if I wanted to work the day of my interview and I pretty much said no. I had gotten no sleep, I was in interview clothes, and I felt it was unprofessional.
-
Day 1 of my job we had an orientation with 4 people and he asked the "group" if they wanted to work Saturday to make up for the lost day (monday). I didnt want to but everyone else said they did, so I have to. It's not my fault you messed up hiring.
-
We are told its 7:30 to 4 monday to Friday. Then, at the end up my first shift, briefly told something about starting at 7. I had to ask coworkers to figure out what was going on with no real instruction.
-
The store manager got pissed at the other managers for letting us go early today.
-
Now we are being told we are starting at 7 AM every day from now on.
-
The store is a complete mess and there's 0 communication between anybody.
-
This is minor but annoying. The guy who has been supervising me seems to be hard of hearing so he keeps making me seem stupid by mishearing my questions and making them sound like obvious answers.
-
I was never given a clear answer on what the wage was. I think it's minimum wage. It's relatively labour intensive so it's really not a great job. I'm only doing it so I'm not seeming like a bum to my family.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this. What do you think..? Am I'm overreacting? Should I stick it out? Or quit?
