Recruiter lied to my face should I let it go

Was in a meeting with a “highly respectable recruiting agency” and I asked about applying directly through the company website because one of the jobs she showed me was pretty legit. She said, “no they only hire through us” and she would submit me to the hiring manager. I go home and see the job posted on the company website. What gives? Hot young recruiter trying to hit some commission or straight ignorance? Would love to respond with a nice friendly email about our meeting.
