I need help! Career/Job opprtunities -- BS Economics ideas?

I will be taking college admission tests soon and I've been thinking if I will put BS Economics (Commerce) as my degree of choice.

If you guys have an idea if the career is in demand and there are many job opportunities, can you please share it with me? Also, do you know the possible starting salary?

I am still contemplating whether I would take BS Geology or BS Economics but I am much more taking the latter into consideration. Thank you so much!
